Why am I running this race? The half marathon fit neatly into my Paris Marathon training schedule. All I had to do was tack on an extra three miles to complete my training miles for the day and I earned a pretty medal for my efforts.
What I wore: Rain was replaced with bitter cold this year, I ran layered in three long-sleeve tops and winter weight Brooks running pants. My running shoe of choice is currently Brooks Ghost 7.
What tech I wore: Garmin XT10
It is a good goal to keep up training during the winter months.
It is a fun, local run as well.
Ginormous bling-y finisher medal.
Well organized wave start and plenty of volunteers on the course.
People will complain about the change in the course route to include two hills. I welcomed the challenge and the hill work was an added benefit for my marathon training.
Run-ability rating: 4
1: Hell no, never, ever, again.
2: Unless crucial changes are made, then NO.
3: Meh – If you have nothing better to do that day, then go for it.
4: Add this to your list of potential runs for next year.
