Now that the last balloon has popped and all the freshly printed copies of the Constitution have been passed out to speakers, sponsors and supporters. It is time to reflect on the images and stories generated from the 2016 National Democrat Convention.
Also gives me the opportunity to pic spam my dear readers. You know I love you, right?
I had a remarkable time immersing myself in the energy surrounding the convention. It certainly pushed me to work harder at the art and craft of photography. I worked at whittling down my compositions to share the essence of the story. Certainly easier to type this than it was to actually work on it. There were many times when I simply stopped in frustration and took a few moments to refocus on what was occurring around me. It is my hope these photos show the passion and frustration of the rally protestors along with the professionalism of Philadelphia’s Police Department.
All photos taken with a Canon 7DM2 and the following lenses: 50mm f/1.4, 24mm f/2.8 Pancake, Tokina 12-24 f/4 and 70-200 f/4L.
UPDATE: Using the philosophy of Communism to shut down the DNC along with smashing capitalism and racism..of course. Also, is that the dove of peace emblazoned on his shirt? So many questions, so little time.
I hope you enjoyed this photographic journal of the 2016 Democrat Convention. Let me know your thoughts about this convention in the comment section. More photos of this event can be viewed on my Flickr page.
