Globe

Refusing a visit to his Aunt was not an option. Alex peered closely at the crystal globe as it swirled and glimmered. ‘Are you sure this thing works, Auntie.’ ‘Of course it works’ was her agitated response, ‘Tell me about your date with Lucy.’

Alex side-eyed his aunt ‘Wasn’t a date, Auntie, just coffee’ he continued staring at the globe. ‘She is quite analytical, in her world magic can only exist if you can quantify and measure it. Honestly, how old is this thing?’ Alex asked.

She eyed him sharply, ‘She’s more powerful than you realize, my dear boy.’

Honestly, I have an awesome photo of me taken next to a thousand-year old crystal globe where you can see my reflection in globe is upside down. Such a cool photo that I cannot find. Oh, If I have to, I will go back to the Penn Museum and take another photo next to the globe. I will NOT be cheated out of a photo. Nope. Not me.

Alex and Lucy are back! They’re getting to know each other and their different world views. The wise Aunt recognized the latent gifts of magic in Lucy early on. It will take a long time for both Alex and Lucy to figure that out. But that’s the fun of this story, in my humble opinion.

I have incorporated the weekly Blab video podcast that you can view and leave comments during the live show.
