Like clockwork, the yearly greens sale at Fox Chase Farm happened this weekend. I took the opportunity to pick up a wreath and a large bottle of locally made honey. Of course, I found time to wander around the grounds and say hello to the residents.
What pretty horse! I love the black stockings on her legs and her matching mane. She trotted over hoping I had a snack for her and when I didn’t produce it, she quickly lost interest. The donkeys were another story altogether.
Meet Bonney and Clyde – actually I don’t know what they’re called on the farm. I made the names up when I met these two goofballs.
Both loved neck scratches and chewing any article of clothing they could grab with their teeth. My pants seemed a special treat for them. Ugh. Bad Donkeys.
Anyway, the reason for the visit was to pick up a wreath for my front door and to support the mission of Fox Chase Farm. Also, I became a “Friends of Fox Chase Farm’ member to lend my creative talents in support of the Farm.
These wreaths typically last well into the new year, with little needle loss, so it is a win/win for all.
