Nightscape at Longwood Gardens

LongwoodLightsatNight-164

Nightscape, a sound and light experience developed by Klip Collective on display now till October 31st, 2015 at Longwood Gardens.

If you live near this garden, or if you don’t – make a point to visit and take in this experience. Also, bring a tripod. You’re allowed, go ahead.

The video is stunning, but to see it live is absolutely incredible. So is the beer garden.

A few photos taken during my visit. Oh, I will be back..with a tripod.

I am thinking of visiting. I own a Canon 70D crop sensor camera. Would my Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC lens be a good choice? Or, would my 17-55 f2.8 (without VC) be better? I don’t want to bring too much gear.
Also, would it be wise to bring a tripod or would it just be too cumbersome?

Go with the VC lens. A tripod will be cumbersome and unsafe. This exhibit displays in darkness so it would be easy for another visitor to trip over a tripod leg. I would suggest using a monopod instead.

Great time! I like the out of the box thinking going on with this display.
