Lucy sighed, stretched and wiggled her toes before looking over at Alex “That was fun. How do you feel, Alex?” She pushed a lock of hair away from his eye before Alex turned eyeing her ruefully “your invitation may have read quite differently.”
“Hmm, I thought it unambiguous.’ Lucy replied, grinning cheerily at Alex.
A nurse interrupted them “Okay you two, nap time is over. Help yourself to juice & cookies.”
At the table, Lucy raised her juice cup “ Cheers to love and the gift of life.”
“Happy Valentines Day, Lucy. Here’s to many more.” Alex replied before kissing her.
What better way to counter the manufactured sentiment of Valentine’s Day with the gift of a blood donation. My dear readers, if you are in the giving mood this weekend. Click HERE to find blood donation centers near you.
